Packaging technology takes fresh Brazilian fruits all over the world with MBR Company
Frutas do Brasil, an internationalization project by the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Exporting Producers (Abrafrutas), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), is focused on strengthening the country’s fruit growing industry and expanding the presence of Brazilian fruits on the global market.
To achieve this, the project has associated exporters and strategic partners who prioritize actions to promote the export of Brazilian fruit growing. Among them, MBR Company stands out for the technology used in its packaging that takes fresh fruit from Brazil to all continents of the world.
According to Renato Miralla, founder and commercial director of MBR Company, packaging has two main functions: guaranteeing the quality of the fruit to its country of destination and reinforcing the MBR Company brand in wholesale markets and for the final consumer.
Packaging guarantees quality and shelf life of fruits
Technically, MBR Company packaging brings together a series of factors that maintain the quality of the fruits exported to the destination country, in addition to sustainability parameters. The boxes are made with resistant, high-quality cardboard, with excellent stacking capacity. The soybean oil paint used is renewable and non-toxic, with FSC certification, which attests to responsible forest management.
Furthermore, its packaging is created to ensure adequate ventilation, contributing to the freshness and quality of the fruits. The interior design is planned to package them perfectly, including protective nets or tissue paper, which prevent friction between the fruits and mitigate the risk of damage due to impact during transport. Thus, the integrity of the fruits is maintained throughout the journey, including loading and unloading.
Beyond functionality: brand reinforcement
Another point as important as the functionality of the boxes is the reinforcement of the brand in its appearance. Creating packaging with premium appeal involves everything from the design of the boxes to the message they carry, including providing clarity in the printed information, which includes certifications from fruit and cardboard suppliers.
For the founder of MBR Company, Renato Miralla, this attention to design has been increasingly relevant and requested by importers and end consumers in international markets. With packaging with a refined finish, vibrant colors and tropical identity, MBR Company ensures that Brazilian fruits arrive in a very presentable way in the destination countries.
This aspect contributes to a relevant commercial factor, as they are displayed in several wholesale markets and, in many cases, even on supermarket shelves. According to Miralla, the brand has already had numerous cases of customers who came to the company because they saw the boxes in different markets around the world, which confirms the relevance of the issue.
About MBR Company
MBR Company, founded in 2004, exports a wide variety of products, such as mango, papaya, lemon, fig, melon, guava, grapes, orange and apple. Because of this, resistance to stacking during export, adequate ventilation and export standard criteria are so important to take Brazilian fruits to all continents in the world.
The Frutas do Brasil seal is present in all of the brand’s exports, following the Globalgap certification parameters. Its main pillars are sustainable cultivation, food safety and traceability in production. The packaging, therefore, follows safety parameters that exempt the fruits from contact with substances that could be harmful. Still according to Miralla, this is an important seal that is gaining prominence among international importers, with the aim of becoming a reference when talking about exports of Brazilian fruits.
