Polenta de mamão
Ingredients
4 peaces of ripe papaya
2 cups of water
1 cup of wheat flour
6 tablespoons of oil
2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion
2 chopped garlic clove
salt to taste
Method of preparation
- In a blender, mix papaya with water and wheat flour. Reserve.
- In a pan over medium heat, heat oil and brown finely chopped onion and crushed garlic. Add the papaya mixture (which has been mixed in a blender) and pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for +/- 15 minutes.
- Transfer this mass to a bowl. Cover the polenta with the sauce and place in the oven to heat.
MEAT SAUCE SUGGESTION TO EAT WITH PAPAYA POLENTA
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of oil
1 tablespoon of finely chopped onion
2 crushed garlic cloves
300 g of minced or minced meat at the tip of the knife
1 cup of chopped ripe tomato
2 cups (tea) of tomato sauce
salt to taste
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
How to prepare the sauce:
In a pan over medium heat, heat olive oil and saute finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, minced or chopped meat at the tip of the knife, chopped ripe tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt to taste and chopped parsley. Mix well and serve over polenta.
