Fruit Attraction São Paulo: expanding horizons in Brazilian fruit growing

Wednesday April 10th, 2024

From April 16th to 18th, the city of São Paulo will host Fruit Attraction São Paulo, one of the largest international fruit and vegetable fairs in the world and traditionally held in Madrid, Spain. Planned to take place for the first time in Brazil, with a partnership between Ifema Madrid and Fiera Milano Brasil, the event promises to be a milestone for national fruit growing and a unique opportunity for the international market.

With a brand consolidated by Ifema Madrid, Fruit Attraction São Paulo brings with it the reputation of being an essential platform for business growth in the sector. Bringing together the main players in global fruit farming, including producers, input, logistics and packaging companies, traders and traditional brands in the sector, the fair will offer an environment conducive to networking, knowledge and, of course, good business.

The choice of Brazil as the country to host the version of the event outside Spanish territory is not by chance. In 2023, the country’s fruit exports reached a historic record, exceeding USD 1.2 billion, equivalent to R$ 5.9 billion, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), thus demonstrating the growing relevance of national production in the global market and the quality of Brazilian fruit.

With the expectation of generating around USD 200 million in sales during the three days of the event, Fruit Attraction São Paulo promises to be a true catalyst of opportunities. More than 200 national and international exhibitors will occupy the nine thousand square meters of available space, presenting a wide variety of products and innovations.

“GVS is impressed with the scope of Fruit Attraction São Paulo in its first year. Our grape and mango clients are very keen to attend. Suppliers of various inputs for our production and logistics chain will also be present. We therefore expect it to be a fair with a relaxed atmosphere, where we can strengthen ties and close good deals,” says Nelly Romano, manager of GVS’s mango division.

Countries such as Panama, Colombia, Uruguay, United States, Egypt, New Zealand, Portugal, Greece, Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain have already confirmed their participation, highlighting the international scope of the fair. Furthermore, the presence of 40 international buyers promises to further expand business opportunities for Brazilian exhibitors.

With nine thousand visitors expected, Fruit Attraction São Paulo promises to be much more than a simple trade fair. It is a unique opportunity to show the world the excellence and diversity of Brazilian fruit and vegetable production, strengthening the country as one of the main players in the global food market.

Get ready to be surprised by the best in Brazilian and global fruit farming. Fruit Attraction São Paulo is here to connect professionals, boost business and open doors to an even more promising future for the sector.
