Brazilian delegation will attend the Macfrut 2023 fair

Tuesday May 2nd, 2023

Macfrut, one of the year’s most awaited events for the fruit and vegetable industry, will take place between May 3rd and 5th. Brazil will be attending the fair thanks to the support of the Frutas do Brasil project — the export program of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), with the support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Besides promoting the Brazilian booth at the event, the program also supports the participation of four fruit producers and export companies, Be Fruit, Sebastião da Manga, Gibran and Up Fruit. The first one will present to the international public the best that the São Francisco Valley has to offer in Keitt, Tommy Atkings, and Palmer mangoes, in addition to other fruits, such as lime. BeFruit, on the other hand, is a producer of tropical products such as oranges, lemons, avocados and ginger, and promises to conquer new horizons with its citrus fruits.

“We are excited to bring Brazilian fruits to delight audiences and be part of the 40th edition of Macfrut in Italy”, comments Jorge de Souza, project manager at ABRAFRUTAS.

The fair’s edition will take place at the Rimini Expo Centre, in Italy, and will have a 25% increase in exhibition space and a 50% increase in the number of international exhibitors compared to last year. The entire fruit and vegetable supply chain will be represented during the three-day event, uniting specialized events and dynamic areas dedicated to innovation with a commercial exhibition.

“It’s a great opportunity for industry professionals to come together, do business and catch up on the latest trends and technologies in the fruit and vegetable sector. It will certainly be an remarkable event for all those involved in the fruit and vegetable market, especially for Brazilian producers”, says Jorge.
