Friday May 26th, 2023

The red guava is a widely cultivated and appreciated fruit in Brazil and its export potential has been explored by several producers.

Four among these companies, which focus on the cultivation and export of this tasty and nutritious fruit, stand out and are part of the Frutas do Brasil project — the export program of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), with the support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Guava exporters in Brazil have actively participated in the international market, taking the quality and flavor of Brazilian fruits to different countries around the world. With the support of the Frutas do Brasil project, these companies have expanded their business opportunities and strengthened the country’s image as a major producer of quality fruit.

Guava, known for its sweet taste and pleasant aroma, is a fruit rich in nutrients and health benefits. It is a source of vitamin C, fibers, potassium and antioxidants. Its regular consumption can help to strengthen the immune system, improve digestive health, help with weight loss and protect against chronic diseases.

In Brazil, the guava production season varies according to the region, but generally occurs between the months of August and January, allowing a constant supply to meet both the domestic market and export demands.

The red guava, a type of fruit widely produced in Brazil, is a typical species from Latin America, resistant to the most diverse climatic conditions and rich in fiber. Check out more about the Brazilian producers of the Frutas do Brasil program below:
