The Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas) and Sbcert, a company with over 20 years experience in the market, joined forces to launch a certification. The Frutas do Brasil Certification comes to grant recognition to those companies with productions in accordance with international standards of good agricultural practices and sustainability.

The certification’s goal, exclusive to producers and exporters associated with Abrafrutas, is to assure credibility for Brazilian fruit producers, assuring the country’s production uses internationally recognized standards and promoting our fruit growers across the globe.

This i show the Frutas do Brasil Certification works: after obtaining the GLOBALG.A.P. certification, companies undergo a verification and audit, carried out remotely by Sbcert. For those who already have GLOBALG.A.P., the process provides the convenience and agility of being 100% virtual, without compromising the integrity of the certification process.

Approved companies can use the seal’s visual identity on their packaging, documents and promotional materials. This further strengthens the Brazilian fruit brand, providing greater visibility and prestige in the international market.

“Even with a short launch time, we already have 15 certified companies. This shows how our producers are interested in maintaining international standards when it comes to good practices and sustainability in the field”, says Jorge de Souza, project manager at Abrafrutas
