According to a study published in the Journal of Dairy Science, eating fruit first thing in the morning not only provides essential nutrients, but also improves digestion and provides energy for the body throughout the day. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that, to prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems, daily consumption of fruits and vegetables should be at least 400 grams.

A study conducted by Harvard University reveals, for example, that individuals who eat fruit for breakfast are 25% less likely to develop obesity when compared to those who opt for processed foods.

Papayas are rich in enzymes that aid digestion, bananas are an excellent source of potassium and carbohydrates, and apples are full of fiber and antioxidants. Oranges, in addition to being a great source of vitamin C, also ensure hydration, while pineapple contains bromelain, which facilitates the digestive process.
