The Brazilian delegation will be present at the next edition of the world’s main trade fair for fresh products, Fruit Logistica, which will take place between February 5th and 7th, in Berlin, Germany.

This year, Brazil will be represented at the event by 45 companies participating in Frutas do Brasil – an internationalization project of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivative Producers and Exporters (Abrafrutas), in partnership with Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

The representatives will seek to meet their clients and discuss business opportunities, explore new markets, and promote products and boost sales during the three-day event. The growing recognition of the excellence of Brazilian fruits in international markets and the good export results in 2024 are sufficient reasons for the Brazilian delegation to have high expectations for the 2025 edition. In 2024, Brazil exported more than 1.3 million tons of fruits and obtained revenues close to 1.3 billion dollars, despite the climate challenges that are currently affecting the entire world.

Frutas do Brasil will be positioned with a 440 square meter stand in pavilion 23, in positions B-01 and B-21, to receive the more than 66 thousand expected visitors from 145 countries. 

According to Abrafrutas Project Manager Jorge de Souza, Brazil could surprise in this year’s edition. “Participating in Fruit Logistica is a unique opportunity for Brazil to show the world the diversity and quality of our fruits. It is the time to strengthen commercial relations, open new businesses in new markets and reaffirm the country’s role as one of the most important exporters of tropical fruits on the planet.” The Executive also states that the results achieved last year generate confidence in the constant increase of Brazilian exports of fruits and derivatives. 

 

Brazilian scenario

Brazilian exports reached US$1.287 billion in revenue in 2024, 3.9% more than in 2023. Among the main fruits traded, mango came in first place with an incredible figure of almost US$350 million. Other fruits that deserve to be highlighted in 2024 exports are melons, Persian limes and Brazilian grapes.
