Frutas do Brasil participates in Fruittrade 2024 in Chile

Thursday October 24th, 2024

The Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives ( Abrafrutas) , in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ( ApexBrasil ) through the Frutas do Brasil sector project , was invited by the Brazilian Embassy in Chile to be present at Fruittrade 2024 , one of the largest international fresh fruit fairs, which will take place in Santiago, between October 22 and 23, 2024 .

This event is an essential meeting point for Brazilian producers and exporters seeking to consolidate and expand their presence in the Chilean market and in Latin America. Abrafrutas will be leading the Brazilian delegation, made up of 8 fruit exporting companies.

This year’s Fruittrade Fair will feature 141 indoor booths and 14 outdoor booths , where companies from the agricultural sector will showcase a wide range of products and services, including irrigation equipment, machinery, logistics, insurance, agricultural banking, phytosanitary products and more. According to the organizers, this environment is ideal for participants to learn about innovative solutions and form strategic partnerships.

At the Fruittrade Convention , the fruit and vegetable industry will have access to discussions on the most relevant technologies and strategic issues related to production, marketing, distribution and export, with a focus on Chilean fruits, but in a global scenario that affects the entire value chain.

One of the highlights of the event will be the International Business Round , aimed at producers and exporters who wish to start or expand their export activities.

In parallel with the fair, the Brazilian Embassy in Chile is organizing exclusive events for the Brazilian delegation, including business rounds and institutional meetings with Chilean authorities , with the aim of strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding access of Brazilian fruits to the Chilean market.

According to the executive director of Abrafrutas, Eduardo Brandão, in recent months, some fruits from Brazil have had access to the Chilean market, such as papaya and lemon, and others are in the final stages of opening, such as avocado, making this mission even more relevant.

“Our participation in Fruittrade 2024, together with the business rounds organized by the Brazilian Embassy in Chile, is a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the presence of Brazilian fruits in the Chilean market and throughout Latin America. We are celebrating new market openings and this is a unique opportunity to show the world the quality and diversity of Brazilian fruit production,” said the director.
