Monday April 29th, 2024

Fruit Attraction, a renowned international fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, concluded its debut in Brazilian territory with a remarkable demonstration of the strength of the country’s fruit growing market. Fruit Attraction São Paulo was held between April 16th and 18th, at São Paulo Expo. The three-day event brought together a vast representation of the production chain, with the participation of 8 Brazilian states and the significant presence of more than 12 thousand visitors, coming from different countries around the world.

With more than 45 countries represented and the participation of 15 international exhibitors, including big names from countries such as France, Netherlands, Italy and the United States, Fruit Attraction São Paulo has established itself as a fundamental meeting point for agents in the fruit and vegetable market, highlighting the international character and attractiveness of the sector in Brazil.

The event was also a stage for generating new business, reflecting the favorable moment that Brazil is experiencing on the world stage. In partnership with ApexBrasil, Fruit Attraction brought the International Buyers Program, which facilitated more than a thousand business meetings between buyers from 33 different countries and Brazilian exhibitors, with expectations of generating 1 billion Reais in sales over the next 12 months.

Guilherme Coelho, president of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Exporters (Abrafrutas), expresses his satisfaction with the event: “I am very happy with Fruit Attraction, a fair that is here to stay. Important elements, such as good stands, business rounds, content panels and, above all, crowded corridors indicate that the event will be consolidated.”

One of the highlights of Fruit Attraction São Paulo was the interactive experience offered to visitors, including a forum with more than 20 hours of content. Renowned chefs presented recipes using the ingredients displayed in the Cooking Show by São Paulo Negócios space, while the Fruit Forum, sponsored by entities such as the governments of Bahia and Maranhão, the Port of Suape and ApexBrasil, provided insights into trends and opportunities in the fruit sector.

Jaime Martin, director of international expansion at IFEMA Madrid, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the fair, emphasizing the crucial role of Fruit Attraction São Paulo as a reference for the southern hemisphere market. Maurício Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil, co-organizer of the event, highlighted the positive performance of the first edition and anticipated even greater growth for next year, with the expansion of the fair to two São Paulo Expo pavilions.
