Brazil stands out at Fruit Attraction Madrid 2024 with the award for best stand
Brazil ended its participation in Fruit Attraction Madrid 2024 in a memorable way by receiving the award for best stand in the Countries and Regions category. The recognition came via popular vote, among more than 1,800 competing exhibitors from different parts of the world. This achievement is the result of the joint work of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the Frutas do Brasil sector project. This recognition reinforces the importance of Brazilian producers in the international fruit growing scene. The active participation of associated producers was essential to disseminate the diversity, quality and flavor of Brazilian fruits at the event.
Fruit Attraction Madrid is considered one of the most important international fairs in the agricultural sector and brings together big names in the global production chain of fresh produce, such as fruits, vegetables and greens. The 2024 edition was a strategic meeting point for commercial negotiations, with knowledge of new markets that have recently opened and generation of business for Brazilian producers. The Brazilian stand, awarded for its creative design, organization and construction with fully reusable material (glass), was one of the most visited and praised at the fair. The large number of visitors and professionals from the sector caught everyone’s attention.
Abrafrutas President Guilherme Coelho celebrated Brazil’s successful participation in the fair and its business success, highlighting the positive impact of the award on producers and the sector: “This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the Abrafrutas team and all of our participating producers who brought their products and the essence of Brazil to the event. Our participation was a success, and we are proud to show the world the quality and diversity of our fruits. I thank everyone who contributed to this result,” said Coelho.
In a preliminary assessment, Jorge de Souza, Technical and Project Manager at Abrafrutas, emphasizes that the fair achieved its strategic objectives: “Exporters are celebrating the sales results and the strong demand for Brazilian fruits. The award received as the best stand reinforces our commitment to reducing solid waste, including at promotional events.”
In addition to enhancing the image of Brazilian fruit exports, Fruit Attraction Madrid 2024 served as an opportunity for Brazilian producers to strengthen business partnerships and expand operations in the international market. Throughout the event, several meetings and negotiations were held, creating new business prospects and opening doors for the future of fresh fruit exports from Brazil.
One of the highlights of the Brazilian participation was the tasting of national fruits in creative and innovative recipes. Visitors were surprised by dishes such as plantain moqueca, “avocado chips”, recipes with the high quality of national ginger, açaí desserts, among other delights.
Fruit Attraction São Paulo 2025 is coming!
An important announcement was also made at Fruit Attraction Madrid: the 2025 edition of Fruit Attraction São Paulo. This Brazilian version of the fair is a direct extension of the Madrid event and promises to be a milestone for the fruit sector in Latin America. The first edition, held in 2024, was already a great success, attracting the attention of buyers and exporters from all over the world. Expectations for 2025 are even higher, with the fair consolidating itself as a platform for business, innovation and development for the Brazilian and international fruit sector.
With these initiatives, Abrafrutas and its strategic partners reinforce their commitment to expanding the presence of Brazilian fruits in the global market, promoting national fruit production and creating new opportunities for producers.
