Frutas do Brasil, a project executed to export Brazilian fruit through a partnership between ABRAFRUTAS (Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Fruit Products) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), is promoting attendance by a delegation of 37 Brazilian fruit growers at Fruit Attraction. The event is happening at the IFEMA expo center in Madrid, Spain from October 4 to 6.

 

The 256-square meter Brazil pavilion will be located in Hall 6, Stand D-05. Among the planned attractions are culinary demos, including a fresh fruit tasting and preparation of innovative recipes using Brazilian products. “The companies will show mangoes, melons, citrus fruit, grapes, avocados, papayas and many other types of sustainably-produced fruit. Brazil is already recognized in the international market for the quality of its products, as well as for unique flavor,” says Jorge de Souza, the Technical and Project Director for ABRAFRUTAS.

 

Fruit Attraction is the second largest and most important fruit show in Europe. It draws exporters and importers from around the world, making it a global and relevant event for Brazilian companies, who have taken part for more than 10 years. In the second half of 2022, Brazilian fruit crop exports will also be found at trade shows in the United States of America, Thailand, Chile and the United Arab Emirates.

 

Brazil is the world’s third largest fruit producer by volume. The fruit and fruit byproduct producers and exporters who belong to Abrafrutas are certified in good production practices and in environmental and social sustainability.
