Brazil arrives at Asia Fruit Logistica with a delegation made up of eight companies
Eight Brazilian companies participating in Frutas do Brasil — the export program of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruit and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), with the support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — will be at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica. The fair covers the entire value chain of the fresh product industry and service support companies, in addition to the latest products and innovative ideas, gathering essential market information.
The event takes place between September 6th and 8th, at AsiaWorld-Expo, in Hong Kong, China. Importers and visitors who stroll through the fair’s corridors cannot fail to check out Frutas do Brasil’s stand, in Hall n.º 05. The space, ideal for networking and discovering the latest news from Brazilian fruit growers, will be attended by Grand Valle, Castello/ABPM, Finobrasa, Coopa, Santa Felicidade, Lina Frutas and Ibacem.
Lara Secchi Coelho, director of GrandValle, says that Chinese market’s opening process in relation to Brazilian grapes is already well developed. “GrandValle’s participation in Asia Fruit Logistica will be an excellent opportunity to get to know this new market in loco, prospect customers and do business. The Asian market is still not very well explored and we’re very interested in expanding sales in the region”, she explained.
According to Jorge de Souza, project manager at ABRAFRUTAS, this is a great business opportunity for Brazilian companies. “Asian countries continue to be important trading partners for Brazil, especially in agribusiness”, he quoted.
Melons, grapes, mangoes and limes are the most exported fruits according to Abrafrutas, especially to the Middle East bloc – Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates – and to the Asian continent, with a highlight on China and South Korea. “We’re excited for the international reception of our fruits during the event. These will certainly be days with a lot of networking and negotiations, while presenting our delicious Brazilian fruits”, says Jorge.
