Seoul Food & Hotel provides attendees with a vital business hub for high-end Korean buyers and industry experts who aim to source premium products as well as learn about worldwide industry trends in various sectors. There are more than 50,000 visitors from 40 countries interested in food-related topics.
Brazil already exports mangoes to South Korea, the grapes are in the final stage of the negotiations and the avocado should be considered as the third fruit with great export potential for this country.
“We consider the participation of exporters to be essential and very important, especially those of mangoes to Korea in this action and those who also have the potential to export grapes and avocados in the near future. It is a promising market, which pays well and can be an excellent option for market diversification for our exporters”, stated the technical director of Abrafrutas, Jorge de Souza.
Brazil will occupy a pavilion and this is being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). The fair covers a wide variety of sectors, in which it brings together professionals from across the industry. The event has become the fourth largest food industry exhibition in Asia.
THE BRAZILIAN FRUIT SECTOR PROJECT
ABRAFRUTAS, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, develops a project to support Brazilian exporters in the search for business expansion; opening of new markets; recognition and differentiation of Brazilian fruits; increase in the healthy habit of consuming tasty and superior quality fruits.
Started in 2014, the Frutas do Brasil project aims to show that Brazil is a supplier of sweet and tasty fruits.
The Brazilian Association of Producers Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas) is a non-profit association whose purpose is to represent and promote Brazilian fruit production in the international market.
Created in 2014, Abrafrutas has approximately 70 fruit exporting producer members and holds approximately 85% of the total volume of fresh fruit exported by Brazil.
In partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), ABRAFRUTAS developed, in 2014, the “Frutas do Brasil” project. The project aims to show that Brazil is a supplier of sweet and tasty fruits all year round. The sun and the climate of Brazil allow the consistency of production and great variety of fruits from north to south of the country.
Its purpose is to support Brazilian exporters in the search for business expansion; create opportunities for opening new markets; promote the recognition and differentiation of Brazilian fruits and encourage an increase in fruit consumption.
The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad and attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy. The Agency carries out diversified trade promotion actions, such as prospective and trade missions, business roundtables, support for Brazilian companies to participate in major international fairs, and visits by foreign buyers and opinion makers to learn about the Brazilian production structure.
