The trade fair will take place from 5 to 7 October at Feria de Madrid

Fruit Attraction, the International Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry, will take place again from 5 to 7 October. This is expected to be the most global edition yet, with an estimated 1,200 exhibitor companies from 30 countries and 55,000 trade professionals from 100 countries expected to attend.

In just seven editions, Fruit Attraction has become an essential business tool for the fresh produce sector. It is strategically scheduled to place during a key month for interaction between offer and demand around the world.

This landmark trade fair for the global fruit and vegetable operator value will be held in Halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 at Feria de Madrid. The Fresh Produce segment, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh cut and catering products, nuts, chilled, frozen and dehydrated; processed fruits and vegetables, Organic Hub, flowers and live plants, will account for 70% of the offer at Fruit Attraction, although there is also an important Auxiliary Industry Area, which features seed suppliers, seeds, solutions and equipment for harvest and post-harvest, transport and logistics, sock management and storage, equipment for points of sale, consultancy and education.

One of the priority objectives for the next edition is to make even greater inroads into the European distribution channel, as well as new potential import markets, to continue to contribute to growth in companies’ exports. Innovation, diversity, quality and technology for an essential sector to the world economy.

In 2015, Fruit Attraction welcomed a total of 49,367 trade professionals from 100 countries, an improvement of 22%, and 1,028 companies from 25 countries, up 23% compared to the previous year.

All this, and the fact that October is a pivotal moment when offer and demand in the fruit and vegetable sector need to meet to arrange for lines of fresh produce to reach points of sale around the world, makes Fruit Attraction the right place to be at the right time.
